Islamabad:
The Federal Minister of Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain has informed the National Assembly that the closure of Utility Stores Corporation (USC) was part of a phase restructuring process approved by a right -wing cabinet selection, aimed at improving efficiency and reducing losses.
In response to a point raised by Asifa Bhutto Zardari at the point of law, he said that in the initial step-loss, the daily pay staff were closed. However, a separate package was formulated for contractual and ordinary employees to ensure their financial security, he said.
