Vanessa Kirby opened up the deep connection she built with her Great four character that she currently expects her first baby.
In a recent chat with Peoplethe 37-year-old actress who played the pregnant Sue Storm in The Fantastic Four: The first stepsreflected on how her role shaped her motherhood journey.
It is relevant to mention that Kirby announced his pregnancy in May.
“Sue was never sat down. She never heaped and breathed about it,” Oscar-Nominated actress said of the invisible female character.
“It didn’t define who she was,” the expected mother continued. “She was definitely a mother, and of course in the comics is so definitely her. But she has also been a team member who defends against big threats.”
“I literally had the lived experience of someone who did this incredibly sacred thing and fulfilled what she needed at the same time as a woman and a team member, and that changed me,” she added.
For those who are not daring, Kirby expects his first baby with girlfriend, the retired Lacrosse player Paul Rabil, who made their relationship official in November 2023.
The Fantastic Four: The first steps is ready to hit theaters on July 24th.
