Senator Faisal Vawda said on Thursday that he had already predicted the fragmentation of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) in several fractions.

In an interview with a private TV channel, he said PTI converted to a “PTI-Pakistan”, like MQM Pakistan, adding that fate would decide who would rule the party.

“The army boss has shown how to bring Pakistan back on track. Then the government and political parties have gained confidence,” Vawda said. “We’ve got a qualified army manager and he’s doing a good job,” he said.

“Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stands along the army chief. The senator added that Shehbaz did not do what his brother and Imran Khan did.

He said the government and its allies hesitated to talk about PTI six months ago, but now they called it a ‘Fitna party’.

Vawda said Imran Khan got nothing for two and a half years while N-League gained power. “The army is not interested in an agreement as it focuses on the country’s security and economy.”

Vawda said IMRAN seemed to be in big trouble as his party did not want him out of prison. “The PTI leaders enjoy by simply raising slogans and trying to be popular in public.”
