San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama will miss the rest of the season after being diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder, the team announced in a statement on Thursday.
“San Antonio Spurs announced today that Victor Wembanyama has been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder,” the team said. “The condition was discovered when Wembanyama returned to San Antonio after the All-Star game in San Francisco. Wembanyama is expected to miss the rest of the regular season 2024-25. The team will provide updates as needed.”
The news comes in the middle of Spurs’ push for an endgame at the western conference.
