An NFL election of the first round was the victim of a $ 240,000 heist after someone pranked him to believe he was talking to a banker.
Minnesota Vikings Linebacker Dallas Turner received a call from someone who mimics himself to be a banker in JPMorgan Chase on February 19, which led to the possible bank Heist.
Calling the “claimed that someone was trying to imitate [Turner] At a Chase Bank branch in Arizona and presented two copies of the ID to perform a thread transfer, “according to Minnesota Star Tribune with reference to a statement.

Turner was then asked by the caller to transfer money to two separate business accounts to stop the alleged theft. Then he sent two payments, each worth $ 120,000, to “Island Food Truck LLC” and “CNL L LLC.”
“[Turner] spoke with a family member and resolutely [he] May have been a victim of a scam -fidus, ”the statement read.
“Through our investigation, several suspects have been identified and we are working on criminal charges of keeping them in charge,” Eagan Police Sgt. Rich Evans said in a statement to ESPN.

Police have also asked JPMorgan Chase if its own internal investigation found whether its own employees played a role in the scheme and how “the scammer was able to obtain sensitive account information, including Dallas’ full name, interconnected telephone numbers and [his] LLC account info. “
Turner was the 17th overall election in last year’s NFL draft out of Alabama, where he was named SEC’s co-defensive player this year in his senior year. He lost the national championship with the team against Georgia in his first year season.

The linebacker got 20 combined tackles (eight solo, 12 assisted), three of them for losses as well as three more sacks and an eavesdropping.
