Pakistani Video Jockey and TV host Anoushey Ashraf finally answered a question that single women, including her, have taken tactfully for years: Yes, she is now married.
In a heart-heating series of photos in an Instagram post on Sunday, the 41-year-old revealed that she tied the knot in an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and family. The caption read, “Dear, why haven’t gotten married yet? Look, I just did,” she asked humorously, approaching all those who had plagued her about her marital status.
Anoushey looked amazing in a white and gold harn Chikani -clothing, paired with a natural makeup look that perfectly caught the effortless beauty of a traditional Nikkah ceremony. Her post also contained close -ups of the ensemble. She then shared a touching photo with her partner, Shahab, from another time, a moment when her sister, Natasha Qizilbash, also released the congratulations of the couple.
The message quickly got over 27,000 likes and more than a thousand comments in less than a day when many stars from the entertainment industry sent their congratulations. Pakistani actor Azhfar Rehhman, Sanam Jung, Bilal Maqsood from Strings, Ayeza Khan, fashion designer Hassan Shehyar and many others expand their warmest wishes for the new bride.
Anoushey first rose to fame as one of the groundbreaking video jockeys from the early noughties. Last September, she talked about the stigma against unmarried women in detail during an Instagram Q&A session. Anoushey said, “I am 40 and unmarried. If you trust Allah you will know that he has determined what is best for you. If you change your perception, maybe you are much better off than a bunch of married people , there is tired of their lives.
