- Wall-E and Eve greet Disneyland’s Pixar Place Hotel for a limited time
- It hints at Disney’s next wave of character robotics and interactive experiences
- It’s a rare sight for the duo
Space may be dominating headlines thanks to the Artemis II mission, but here on Earth, Disney is quietly pushing forward with something just as futuristic: real-world robots you can actually meet.
We’re also just a few weeks away from Earth Day, and it’s actually National Robotics Week—which makes the timing even more appropriate.
So it’s only natural that Disney pokes fun at Wall-E and Eve in a rather funny way. The couple we first met in the 2008 film Wall-Ehas enjoyed a bit of a resurgence, with even Lego dropping a new set to build both. And thanks to the Pixar Place Hotel at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, you’ll have the chance to meet the duo this month.
The article continues below
Wall-E and Eve greet guests – in honor of Earth Month – exclusively on Wednesdays in April 2026: April 8, 15, 22 and 29. I expect a long line. Wall-E – especially alongside Eve – is still a relatively rare sight from Disney, making this a notable opportunity for fans. In 2025, only Wall-E was seen in the same hotel.
More importantly, this isn’t just a one-off meet-and-greet — it’s another signal that Disney is scaling toward more interactive, character-driven robot experiences.
That direction closely aligns with what Kyle Laughlin, SVP of R&D, Technology and Engineering at Walt Disney Imagineering, told TechRadar ahead of Olaf’s debut at Disneyland Paris’ Adventure World: “We envision not just one robot from a franchise, but an entire world populated with characters you know and love.”
In other words, more robots — and more opportunities for guests to interact with them — are likely on the way. Given that the meeting with Wall-E and Eve is at the Pixar Place Hotel, it does not require park admission or a ticket, although demand is likely to be high.
From videos shared by Disneyland on Instagram — and from lucky guests who have already seen the pair — Wall-E rolls himself in while Eve appears to move as smoothly as you’d expect from the movie. It’s a sleek effect that’s pulled off quite nicely, and both robots are impressively well done.
As Eve and Wall-E hold hands in the center, the outer limbs of both move, and Wall-E’s entire head – as well as its eyes – has mobility to convey emotion. Similarly, Eva’s eyes appear to be LED-based and can change on the fly. Of course you can hear them talking as they roll by or when you get close to say hello.
Allie Kawamoto, Hotel Experience Integration Manager for Disneyland Resort, told TechRadar: “We’re excited to celebrate Earth Month and welcome Wall•E and Eve to Pixar Place Hotel on Wednesdays in April! This is a great addition for guests staying at the hotel or stopping by for a quick hello.”
It’s a great way to celebrate Earth Day – and Earth Month in general – and it’s a free experience for anyone who can come to the Pixar Place Hotel.

I also hope it’s a continued resurgence in Walt Disney Imagineering, Disney Live Entertainment, and Disney as a whole, putting more of its most impressive robots and animatronics out into the wild for these unique interactions with guests.
We’ve seen Olaf debut at Disneyland Paris, with Hong Kong Disneyland expected later this year, and a further tease from Imagineering that the walking, talking snowman, as well as other characters, would be seen at other parks, including Walt Disney World and Disneyland. In addition, BDX Droids have been around the world – starting with Disneyland in California, then Disneyland Paris, Disney World in Florida and then on the high seas aboard the Disney Cruise Line.
I’m especially excited and optimistic that Disney is bringing out Wall-E and Eve, and I hope that we can see more arrivals of previous robots and brand new ones as the work in Imagineering continues to increase.
