Staying at the top of the latest tech news can be a brain-spinning challenge, but reading Techradar is one of the best ways to do it on and google has just launched a new search feature to help you see more of our expert stories.
Google’s new preferred sources feature allows you to customize which sites will appear in the Top Stories section of your search results. That’s a good thing because it allows you to fine-tune the sites that appear in these news carousels, so the most reliable sites-as Techradar dolls up more often.
Our many internal tech experts write about the most exciting new launches and the best tech offers on a daily basis, so making Techradar one of your favorite top stories sources is (in our impartial opinion) a very good idea.
So how do you do that? The easiest way is just to go to this Google Search Preferencing LinkWhere you can add Techradar to your list of preferred sources (the feature currently lives only in the US and India).
But if you’d rather do it while searching for tech news, here’s the other way to set it up …
1. Search for technical news on Google
Search for a technical product or subject It’s been in the news recently – this should give you a ‘Top Stories’ box at the top of your results.
Google’s new ‘favorite sources’ logo (a small star in a box) appear to the right of Top Stories Banner, which you can see in the picture above. Click or press this icon And you will be taken to the screen preferred sources.
2. Find Techradar and your other favorite sites
Search for ‘Techradar’ and your other favorite sites in this search box, then Check the check box Next to its name to add the site to your list of preferred sources.
3. Update the results
Finished adding Techradar and your other favorite tech sites to preferred sources? Now just Click the ‘Reload Results’ button At the bottom of the list and you will see your new top stories.
