Warner Bros. pushing back the release date of the movie ‘Clayface’

Tom Rhys Harries to play ‘Clayface’ in standalone film

Clayface, a standalone film about the DC Comic book villain character, has been postponed.

Starring Tom Rhys Harries, Clayface was announced as a straight-up horror film to be released on September 11th.

DC Studios chose this release window as it has a history of successful films including The (2017), The nun (2018), and That chapter two (2019) specifically in the early September corridor.

But the latest move left comic book fans surprised as the makers have moved the release date to October 23, 2026 during the Halloween season.

Do not speak evil and The woman in black creator James Watkins will serve as director on the project.

Meanwhile, Mike Flanagan, who is famous for films like the exorcist, Doctor Sleep and The Haunting of Hill Househas written the script for Clayface.

The horror thriller will also be included Blink twice star Naomi Ackie and Mike Minghella, known for his role in Spiral: From Saw’s bookand Eddie Marsan.

The film’s plot will revolve around a shape-shifting creature made of magical clay that haunts Gotham City, varying between villain and ally of Batman.
