Draymond Green was assessed its fifth technical error in just its ninth playoffs this year – two more would justify an automatic suspension.

In the second quarter, Green had elbowed Naz Reid after Reid had just buried him.

Green was suspended indefinitely last season for Hans Antics on the field, which had been brewing since the previous playoffs, including stamping on Domanta’s Sabonis. He also put Rudy Gobert in a choke team and hit Jusuf Nurkic with an open hand, which led to the extended suspension.

After the game, however, Green seemed to suggest that he believes there is an “agenda” against him that he is an “angry black man.”

“Looks like the angry black man. I’m not an angry black man. I’m a very successful, trained black man with a big family, and I’m big for basketball and big for what I do,” he said.

“The agenda to try to keep going to make me look like an angry black man is crazy. I’m tired of it. It’s ridiculous.”

In Warriors’ last season, Green admitted that he was “embarrassed” that he “put too much” during a game at home where they lost it forced a game 7. He said he had “some heart-to-heart” with “people I trust the most” after that game.

Head coach Steve Kerr said Green’s actions that led to his technique are “habit”.

“It’s just a habit he has when someone violates him and he’s smart,” Kerr said. “So I think it was reid, and in reach, Daymond swirled through and pulled the bad. But he has a habit to flail his arm to try to make sure the referee sees it and he got in touch, and that’s what led to the technique.”

“That’s part of Daymond,” Kerr. “It’s the same thing that makes him such a competitor and a winner sometimes puts him over the top, and we know it, and it’s our job to try to help him stay clear, stay composed. But the competition is so meaningful to him that he occasionally crosses the line.”

Golden State lost the game, 117-93, when Stephen Curry has to do with a hamstring injury. Julius Randle had 24 points and 11 assists, and Anthony Edwards and Nickeil Alexander-Walker each ended with 20 points.

Warriors set their lowest score in the first quarter (15) in the playoffs since GAME 6 in 2016 NBA final, according to Sportradar when they had 11 in a loss to Cleveland. In these finals, Green Game 5 missed a suspension of technical errors that started Cleveland’s comeback from being down 3-1 in the series.

The game 3 of Wolves and Warriors are back in the Bay area on Saturday night.
