“I’m a little worried about our main coach work ethics,” Brady said in the clip. “I mean I don’t know. I don’t have big instincts on it.”

Rooney responded to the remark in a recent episode of his show at BBC, “Wayne Rooney -Show.”

“I think it was a very unreasonable comment. I mean when I went into Birmingham, they were in a mess, really,” began Manchester United legend. “I think Tom came in once, which was the day before a game where the day is a little easier anyway, and I don’t think he really understood football so well at the time. Maybe he’s doing it now.”

Despite offending the remark, Rooney gave the honor to Brady’s methods that won him seven Super Bowl titles.

“But what he understands is that he is a hardworking. We know it. So that’s why I’m really disappointed with the comment because football is not NFL. NFL works for three months of the year. Players also need rest. So I think he was very unfair, the way he has come out and portrayed it.

“Listen, I respect Tom Brady massively. He is one of the greatest, if not the biggest athlete of all time, and Birmingham looks like they are getting it right now, which is good.”
