- Two stars in The Fantastic Four: First Steps had very little time to build chemistry before film shooting began
- The actors behind Galactus and Silver Surfer did not film scenes either
- They only had a 24-hour period to gel like a couple and met just once on the movie’s set
The actors behind The Fantastic Four: First Steps‘Antagonists have revealed that they had very little time to build a report between their characters.
Ralph Ineson and Julia Garner told Techradar that they had only 24 hours to design the complex relationship that exists between Galactus and Silver Surfer, which they portray in the Marvel phase 6 movie respectively.
Given how important it is for actors to build chemistry before and during filming, I was pretty shocked to learn Ineson and Garner got no more opportunities to do so.
My surprise was raised by the fact that the duo was present on sets for large parts of Marvel Movie’s shooting plan. Garner, which, unlike Ieson, got to act against those who played the Fantastic Four had a motion capture (mocap) suit to produce Galactus’ herald in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films.
Meanwhile, Ineson was fully equipped in a practical suit so he could appear on Set-Omend not in the same scene as other actors-like the immortal planet development space unit. In this way, the film’s crew could capture Ieson’s movements in real time and incorporate them into specific scenes in post production. He could also be scaled up or down in that sequences, depending on the size of the size-changing galactus.
Given the complicated dynamics of play between Galactus and his surfboard-ridden lieutenant in the comics, many fans could have expected Ieson and Garner to spend time discussing how to bring it to life in a live action capacity. As I said earlier, the opportunity to do so hardly presented to them.
“Because of the way you shoot a character like galactus that may be 50 feet tall or even bigger, shoot under light light [to fully capture his likeness]”Ieson said.” So everything you do as an actor is a solo thing. We [Ineson and Garner] Worked so little together, we almost never crossed trails – “
“So there was no collaboration at all?”, I interacted.
“Not really, no,” Ieson replied, before Garner chimed in to say, “We had a tent day! We had a day to check in to see what each other did, and read some offlines [parts of an actor’s script that don’t need a live acting partner] together.”

“From my point of view there was something quite nice about playing Galactus,” Ieson thought. “I would come in once a month for costume fittings and they [the rest of the cast] Would go to set up and have this really incredible bonding session as a family, and I wanted this lonely acting experience that actually helped me exploit Galactus’ mindset like this unique space god. “
“I came in and out too [of scenes with the Fantastic Four]”Added yarns,” so I didn’t have much time to bind to them either. I would hover in and be like ‘Hello guys, that’s what’s going on’ or ‘Hi, my boss said this, okay, goodbye!’ “
