- We have an official teaser image for the OnePlus 15T
- The phone will launch in China later this month
- It stretches the OnePlus definition of a ‘small screen king’
We gave the OnePlus 15 a rare five out of five stars after its October launch, so we’re very much looking forward to what the updated OnePlus 15T update of the phone has to offer – and we’ve just got our first official look at the handset.
OnePlus has taken to Chinese social media platform Weibo (via Notebookcheck ) to give us a teaser image of the OnePlus 15T. As you can see, the design language is very similar to what we saw with the OnePlus 15.
We do get a couple of new colors to take a look at though, green and brown. It’s not yet clear what the official OnePlus names for these colors will be, or if they’ll be the only colors you’ll be able to buy the handset in.
The text on the teaser graphic reads “Performance and battery life beats big screen phones, flagship experience beats small screen phones”, based on translation software – giving you an idea of how OnePlus is positioning this app.
Here’s what we know
Thanks to previous teases from OnePlus and its executives, we know quite a bit about the upcoming OnePlus 15T. It’s apparently going to have very narrow bezels (just over a millimeter), maximizing the available screen size.
That screen size is going to be 6.3 inches corner to corner compared to 6.78 inches on the OnePlus 15T. OnePlus boss Li Jie Louis has previously called the handset a “small screen king” (via a translation app), stretching the definition somewhat.
We also know that there will be a solid battery of 7,500 mAh capacity inside the OnePlus 15T, beating the 7,300 mAh on the OnePlus 15. We will also get 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, where the main flagship offers 120W and 50W respectively.
The final piece of confirmed news is a 3.5x telephoto lens to match the OnePlus 15 – although there will only be two rear cameras instead of three. The handset launches in China this month, with global availability potentially following.
