An American Thinktank brought a lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security in 2023 to get Prince Harry’s immigration registers.
The Heritage Foundation claimed that the Duke of Sussex’s previous drug use should have been reason to deny him an American visa.
The Duke of Sussex moved to the United States with his wife Meghan Markle after the couple resigned as working members of the British royal family.
The Conservative Think Tank filed the case and said the public has the right to know if the British royal was truthful in his application.
The lawsuit centers on revelations Harry made in his memoir reserve in 2023.
In the book, the youngest son of Britain’s king Charles III admitted to trying cocaine as a teenager who began at the age of 17.
He said the experience was “not a lot of fun,” but gave him a feeling of feeling different as he sought at the time.
Harry also recognized smoking cannabis during his school years at Eton College and later at Kensington Palace.
He also described experimentation with psychedelica, including magical mushrooms at a Los Angeles party and Ayahuasca in therapeutic surroundings.
The younger brother of Prince William said these drugs helped him treat grief over the death of his mother, Princess Diana.
The Heritage Foundation claims that such revelations typically complicate visa eligibility, which puts Harry’s own words at the center of a politically charged legal battle.
