- Arc Raiders Design lead Virgil Watkins has revealed that more maps will be released in 2026

Arc Raiders design lead Virgil Watkins has revealed that the game will get several new maps in 2026. This comes from a recent interview with GamesRadar+ covering Embark Studios’ approach to map design.
When asked about Embark Studios’ plans for upcoming content, Watkins shared that the team plans to release some sort of roadmap soon:
“Soon, I think we’re going to be putting out part of a roadmap for the coming months. But right now, we’re kind of determining exactly the cadence, those things. And you’re right about the types of content, and we’re going to roll that out in the coming year.”
This upcoming content apparently includes several maps, and they will range in size from small to large environments:
“There will be more maps this year, and I think it’s going to be across a spectrum of sizes to try to facilitate different types of gameplay. So you might see some that are smaller, and you might see some that are even bigger than what we have now.”
