Islamabad:
The government has called on WhatsApp and the international community as a whole to take immediate action against the forbidden terrorist organization Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) using the Messaging platform to spread violent propaganda.
Prime Minister of Interior Tallal Chaudrysenator raised the alarm in a post on X (formerly Twitter), saying TTP-a UN and US-appointed terrorist group-operated WhatsApp channels to send bulk messages promoting its extremist ideology.
“Pakistan has zero -tolerance for these terrorist groups and sacrifices huge victims to secure global peace,” said Chaugry.
He urged WhatsApp and the international community to collaborate to block these accounts and develop algorithms to automatically detect and suspend such handles.
