WhatsApp is working on a feature for its users to search for draft messages via a preset chat list and it will be available in a future update.
The new chat list for draft messages available in WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.25.18.17 Update allows users to find all chats with draft messages, Wabetainfo reported.
A draft message refers to any text written in a conversation but has not yet been sent. It is marked with a green color within the chat list to make it noticeable for users. For example, it may occur when users start composing a message but decides to send it later.
Currently, users need to roll through their entire chat list to find conversations containing draft messages that may be time -consuming, especially for those dealing with a large number of chats.
The popular meta-owned Instant-Messaging app aims to streamline the process of its upcoming feature by introducing a specific filter that automatically shows all chats with unspenting drafts in the future.
This will be particularly convenient for users who often compose messages across multiple conversations and leave them unfinished.
By simply choosing the new “draft” filter, users will immediately be able to get a dedicated list of all conversations that contain unspoken messages.
This practical tool will help ensure that no important message is accidentally forgotten or overlooked due to distractions or busy schedules.
It is important to note that this new filter will be a preset option.
This means that users do not need to manually set it or configure something when the feature becomes available as it appears automatically when drafting of messages is found.
In addition, users can remove the draft filter at any time if they do not find this list useful. In the event that their needs or habits change later, they will still have the opportunity to activate the filter again and make use of it as needed.
The preset chat list for draft messages is under development and it will be available in a future update.
