Wheat farmers offered RS15B -Help

Punjab Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has then approved the then award of RS15 billion for 550,000 farmers under a wheat support fund.

The wheat farmers receive direct financial support through the Kisan card.

The Minister of Ministry announced a package to the sector, including exemption from irrigation tax for the wheat farmers over the current year.

According to the package, free electronic storage receipt (EWR) facility is provided for four months for storage to protect wheat from climate change effects and farmers against market pressure.

Farmers who store wheat under the system receive an electronic reception, which can be given to a bank within 24 hours to get a loan of up to 70 percent of the total cost. Markup on loans corresponding to RS100 billion obtained from Bank of Punjab by Flour Mills and ‘Green License’ Holders for wheat acquisitions are financed.

It has been decided that approval from the cabinet will be sought for immediate and mandatory purchase of wheat by flour factories and license holders.

Wheat storage up to 25 percent of the total capacity has become mandatory.

It has also been decided that the federal government will be contacted for the export of wheat and its products.

Bank of Punjab will provide financing for the private sector for renovation and construction of warehouses for wheat.

The Punjab government pays the marking of RS5 billion to provide storage facilities to the wheat farmers.

The prohibition on the transport of wheat and flour at provincial and district limits has been abolished.

The Minister of the Principal expressed his regular decision not to let farmers suffer any loss. She said, “If any farmer has grown wheat, he gets full compensation for it.”

Environmental panels

Main Minister Maryam Nawaz also participated in the first delivery parade of the environmental protection force.

She also launched an environmental approval management system and an emission test system for vehicles. After reviewing control during the emission test system, she also attached the first ETS sticker to her vehicle.

Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said that an e-bike group of the environmental protection strength will serve as an environmentally friendly unit. A ‘Green Squad’ works for anti-plastic campaign, dust and dengue control in the urban areas. A ‘blue team’ of the strength will strive to protect water bodies and a ‘black team’ will work for vehicle burning tests and against toxic fumes. A ‘red team’ o The strength will work to prevent harmful substances in the industrial areas and hospitals.

A ‘Hawk Eye Squad’ will perform environmental monitoring with 360-degree live camera and 11 thermal drones that can look in the dark. A special urban patrol and vigilance will work to prevent environmental hazards. The Brick Kiln troop monitors ovens on eight double -cabin vehicles.

Point Source Pollution Monitoring Squad will monitor environmental pollutants.

A strict control will be kept on air quality in the relevant areas through a mobile air quality monitoring station.
