Pakistan’s astronomical experts have expected Eidul Adha to probably fall on Saturday, June 7, 2025, based on predictions of the early moon.
However, the final decision on the date of the Moon’s observation depends, with the central Ruet-E-Hilal Committee, which announces the official date of the Moon’s visibility in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Emirates Astronomy Society has expected that Eidul Adha will be celebrated on Friday, June 6, 2025 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In UAE, astronomers predict that Zil Hajj Moon will be visible on the evening of May 27, 2025, which means that the first day of Zil Hajj begins on May 28.
The moon rises at. 7:02, and it is expected to be visible for about 38 minutes after sunset, which increases the chances of a clear sight.
Ibrahim al-Jarwan, president of the Emirates Astronomy Society, said the official date of Eidul Adha will be confirmed based on local moonlight.
Uae’s official holiday calendar has already marked the public holidays for Eidul Adha, with the break set from 9 to 12. By Zil Hajj (1445 Ah), equivalent to four days of holiday.
Eidul Azha, also known as The Feast of Sacrifice, is one of the two major Eid festivals celebrated by Muslims all over the world. It honors the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) the will to sacrifice his son in obedience to the command of God.
