When Urdu -omans gave birth to TV dramas

Here are three Throwback shows that couldn’t have existed if anyone hadn’t taken trouble writing the book

Slough, England:

Whether it’s a sweet love story that plays beyond Karachi (Burns Road Kay Romeo Juliet) or an action-packed family feud driven by gun-toting hotshots (Duniyapur), the rushing Pakistani drama scene has something to offer everyone.

And not just TV fans. Book fans are also included in this all-inclusive embrace of the TV industry. Not all of the dramiRcripts are carried out of a national desire to take down the mother -in -law (mother -in -law (Noor Jahansomeone?) Some are born out of books. While the full list of Pakistani dramas adapted from novels is a rich and comprehensive, here’s a small selection of our favorite show that wouldn’t have existed if someone hadn’t taken trouble writing the book.

‘Parizad’ (2021)

Starring Ahmed Ali Akbar starring in a role of role that included Yumna Zaidi, Naumaan Ijaz and Saboor Ali, Parizaad Diagrams the fighting for a man who wants to be accepted for who he is and not the color of his skin. Our hero has to make the choice between fulfilling his artistic ambitions and becoming a poet or taking the well -groomed but tedious path to a job with a stable income. Hashim Nadeem published his novel with the same name in 2014 and created it for a manuscript for TV to bring the story to a wider audience. Although viewers praised the concept and Akbar’s performance as Parizaad, a few selected for online platforms to vent about the hasty conclusion of the plot as the show hurt to its conclusion.

‘DIYAR E DIL’ (2015)

This critically acclaimed show contained an ensemble -role crew with young stars Osman Khalid Butt, Maya Ali, Sanam Saeed and Hareem Farooq. Farhat Ishtiaq wrote both the show and the short story it was based on, Dayar e DilPublished in 2010. With the plot spanning two generations, the fans praise the show for its tight plot, kinematography, visuals and width of grades. The show is well loved by both TV fans and book fans, although always the way, Book Fans online encourages others to read the novel as well as the simple condition that it is even better. As a bonus, this was the show that burned ‘Osmaya’ the ship among fans (because of the sizzling combination of both Osman and Maya who shared the screen), though the two actors have laughed from the rumors and maintain that they are nothing more than Close to friends.

‘Humsafar’ (2011)

It would be unimaginable to compile a list of Pakistani dramas that fertilize from novels without mentioning Humsafar. The show made room for the epic Fawad Khan-Mahira Khan combination that caught the hearts of the TV fans, the Pakistani TV-equivalent of the unforgettable Kate Winslet-Leonardo di Caprio combination of the late nineties. Yet another show that is born to life by the unstable author Farhat Ishtiaq, who has written both the manuscript as well as the source novel, Humsafar Proven for fans that Fawad was more than just a dreamy singer in a rock band. As with many adjustments, the show deviated from the novel to fit the requirements of the small screen. Where the novel is told from Hareem’s perspective, the show focuses on her parents Ashar and Khirad, portrayed by Fawad and Mahira respectively. With both the novel and the show, which has the necessary happy ending, fans have not been able to worry less about any deviations that Farhat has taken. Furthermore, as the woman who gave us both the book and the show, it would be useless to argue. The author knows best.
