Islamabad: The Jhelum police have successfully regained a few AirPods that belong to British social media influencer Miles Routledge, better known as “Lord Miles”, a year after they were lost in Dubai.

Routledge, who had inadvertently left his AirPods at a hotel in Dubai, had activated the “Lost Mode” feature on his iPhone so he could continuously monitor and track their location.

To his surprise, the signal revealed that the units had flown from Dubai all the way to Kala Gujran, a trade union council on the outskirts of Jhelum City in Pakistan.

Airpods pinged occasionally from the vicinity of a local restaurant and gave a crucial clue to their whereabouts.

Without direct contacts in Pakistan Tyr Miles to his extensive social media after, posting updates on Airpods’ location and directly noticed the Jhelum police in his positions.

The digital breadcrumbs eventually led to a real investigation.

Located the individual using AirPods proved to be a challenging task. However, District Police Officer (DPO) Jhelum, Tariq Aziz Sindhu, took on his team to narrow households in the area with connections to Dubai.

Their diligent efforts paid off and identified four men from the nearby who worked in Dubai.

Further examination revealed that one of these men was currently in Pakistan and visited his family. Police called him to question AirPods.

The individual admitted to having the units, but claimed he had bought them from an Indian citizen in Dubai, unaware that they were a stolen asset.

Satisfied with his explanation, police successfully restored AirPods.

Then Miles was contacted to ask if he would choose to receive them personally by traveling to Pakistan or would share a mailing address for the shipment.

He chose to visit and film the improvement, an intention he also expressed in his social media account.

“I’m going to get a police officer and storming the area, getting my AirPods back and filming it all. I don’t like thieves,” he twitly twited and assumed the police had traced the suspect and would arrange a dramatic raid.

Upon arrival, he learned that AirPods had already been in custody and he was instead invited to lunch at a restaurant.

In a TV statement, Miles Jhelum praised police and recognized their efforts. He noted that the strength had done what “Scotland Yard in London would not do for a British citizen like me.”

He also clarified that the original thief was an Native American, not a Pakistani.

Miles has since launched a campaign against Indians calling them twenty. In a post, he claimed that the Native American who stole his AirPods has been arrested in Dubai on theft.
