Scattered rain and hail are expected in parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) over the next 24 hours as a partially cloudy weather system moves through the region, Pakistan’s meteorological department (PMD) said on Thursday.
The prognosis indicates thunderstorms accompanied by Gusty Vind in areas including chitral, dir, swat, Shangla and Malakand, reported Express News.
Hills are also possible in isolated places.
Rain is also likely in Mansehra, Torghar, Kohistan, Battagram and Abbottabad along with parts of Khyber, Orakzai, Mohmand, Swabi, Marran, Nowshera, Charsadda and Peshawar.
Southern regions, including Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, Lakki Marwat, Karak and North and South Waziristan, can also experience thunder and rain.
On Wednesday, Peshawar saw light rain, while DIR registered the highest rainfall at 15 mm. Other notable numbers included 11 mm in Malam Jabba, 10 mm in Pattan (Kohistan), 9 mm in Kalam, 4 mm in Saidu Sharif (Swat) and 1 mm in chitral.
Temperatures remained moderate throughout the province. Peshawar registered a high of 21 ° C, while chitral stood at 12 ° C. Dir Bala then 9 ° C, Kalam 7 ° C and Malam Jabba 8 ° C. In the south Dera Ismail Khan 23 ° C and Bannu 22 ° C.
