A huge Chicago White Sox fan died late last month at the age of 77, but he managed to take a shot at his famous ball club over the grave.
Jon Bernard McDonald of Glen Elyn, Illinois, died on April 23 at the age of 77 after what his obituary said was “a short illness.”
His obituary photo shows him in a White Sox jersey, but in the midst of Chicago’s 121 loss last year, and another brutal start this season, the obituary had to take a jab of Sox.

“He couldn’t meet another White Sox season after last year’s record-breaking degradation,” the obituary reads.
McDonald “also enjoyed playing golf, watching TV, SØEP and CHICAGO SPORT (except the kids. He hated the kids).”
Last year’s 121 losses were the most in an MLB season ever – Chicago, after Tuesday’s debate, is currently in the process of matching it.

It should have been a 3-2 win for White Sox, but Royals were able to storm back to win, 4-3.
White Sox is now 10-29, which is a .256 winning percentage. It wasn’t that long ago when they won all central and did it in 2021.

Fortunately, McDonald was able to see his team win a 2005 championship that broke an 88-year-old drought. That year, however, was also the only time he saw his team win a series after the season. Chicago has never won a series after the season in a year when they did not win Fall Classic, as they have done three times in their 125-year history.
