William Byron won the Daytona 500, which was a marathon on Sunday night, after rain delays and yellow caution flags eventually led to some rounds of overtime.
And these two overtime laps were an absolute excitement that saw several spin-outs and crashes that allowed Byron to win Daytona 500 for the second year in a row.
Six of the last eight Daytona 500 races have ended in overtime, and like any overtime in sports, the desperation of any driver felt to get out on top.

But trying to get to the front of the package led to a wreck in front where Denny Hamlin’s No. 11 car led with a lap to go when Cole Custer and Chase Briscoe tried to get in front of him.
But when Custer was on Hamlin’s right, Briscoe bumped the back of the No. 11 car, which eventually led the three-time Daytona 500 winner to spin-out and hit No. 2 Austin Cindrric to the left in the process.
But with a little luck, Byron came out of the wreck unharmed, and that cautionary flag never came up when he immediately hit the final to the routed flag for the victory.

When we talked about yellow flags, the 67th of the “big American race” came with a bunch, especially one after Ryan Prece’s No. 60 car flying through the air after a twist with five laps to walk. Fortunately, he walked off the field on Daytona unharmed.
Christopher Bell fought with Hamlin for first place when Custer’s Ford pushed Bell’s No. 20 too many times.

Bell’s car danced a little as Custer continued to beat him, and No. 20 eventually had enough when it smashed into the wall. Ryan Preece’s No. 60 car also took over in the air as a result of the crash of Bell, but fortunately no one was injured as a result.
A yellow flag came out late by 14 laps when Ryan Blaney, who was able to run by the victory, was knocked out of the race after Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s front left tire wiped him out in a crash it also involved Joey Logano and others.
The wreck took place after Logano tried to make a step that was passed stonehouse, which was quick to hold its lead. Kyle Busch was also in a good position to win it, but he was also seen in his No. 8 car spinning out.
The race faced two delays due to bad weather as rain poured into Florida over the field.
President Donald Trump also performed in Daytona and led the drivers on a lap before the race began. This is the second time he attended the event and welcomes NASCAR’s drivers while talking to Fox Sports’ Jamie Little.
“They have a lot of courage doing this,” Trump said. “I see that and I’ve been here. They have a lot of guts they would say.”

Trump, gathered on the field by his grandson, highlighted the US progress since he started his second term as president.
“I think it’s great. I think it’s great for the country, ”he said. “The country is doing well again. We have spirit all over the world. There is spirit again, we brought it back and it has been less than four weeks. You will see what we do in a small period. It gets only a few better.
