- HighPoint Rocket 7604a Raid -Kort is half the size of the previous iteration
- Delivers nearly 60 GBPS using four Gen5 SSDs without power cable
- First review shows that it offers strong performance across both Intel and AMD platforms
The HighPoint Rocket 7604A is a PCIe Gen5 RAID card targeted at professionals who need extremely sequential flow in compact workstations.
While based on the legacy of the larger rocket 1608A model, it manages to shrink the form factor by almost half while maintaining similar performance.
7604A fits into a single slot, half-length configuration and is completely powered by the PCIe bus without any external power required.
Eclipse previously record -containing models
Tweattown Recently, the card reviewed and described it as “a masterpiece of technique” that delivers 59.8 GB/s sequential flow using only four M.2 Gen5 SSDs.
This performance even eclipses the company’s own previously recorded models. It achieves this with a Broadcom PEX89048A RAID controller and four Gen5 x4 M.2 slots.
Testing spans both Intel and AMD platforms. Intel Systems had the edge of Benchmarks like Anvil and Blackmagic, while AMD took the lead in certain file transfer scenarios.
Paired with four Samsung 9100 Pro -Drive (Tweattown Notes that the drives must be just to fit the map), Rocket 7604A obtained almost 60 GB/s sequential flow in Crystaldish field. “Better than anyone AIC we’ve ever encountered,” observed the site’s senior hardware editor, Jon Coulter.
At Atto it delivered up to 54 GB/s, more than twice as large flow obtained with 1608A using eight decisive T705 drives.
Tweattown Also reported that 7604A broke several laboratory records and scored 93,000 points in Anvil’s benchmark and surpassed far any previous flash -based Aics.
Users can configure Software RAID via Windows that support RAID 0 and RAID 1, or use HighPoint’s own configuration tool to lock additional settings such as RAID 10. The card also supports PCIe Gen4 SSDs, although flow is reduced when used in this mode.
To $ 999, down from its original $ 1999 price price, Rocket 7604A is cheaper than its predecessor and many competitive solutions. It is clearly not made for relaxed users, but for anyone who needs top flow in a limited space, this map provides determined.
Tweattown Assigned it 98% (lost a few points for performance and value, but scored the maximum for quality and functions) and named it the editor’s choice.
