WNBA News: Dream-Sky-Games exposed to another disruption of sex toys

Another Wnba The game was disturbed this week as a well -known and creepy object was thrown on the field in the final seconds of a Chicago Sky game on Thursday night.

The incident comes after at least two arrests were made in connection with the series of disturbances.

Videos on social media showed a sex toy – this time purple in color – launched on the field in the last moments of the fourth quarter with Atlanta Dream Leading Heaven, 86-65.

Another sex toy was allegedly thrown in the third quarter, but the object did not come to court and instead landed somewhere near the dream.

A suspect was detained and questioned by security in the WinTrust Arena, but was later released, Chicago Tribune reported, with reference to a league source.

Sex toys have been thrown in at least six WNBA games over the past week and a half. The first happened during a game in Atlanta on July 29th. It happened for the first time in Chicago on August 1, Los Angeles Tuesday – almost hit Indiana Fever Guard Sophie Cunningham, and again in Chicago on Thursday.

Sex toys were also allegedly thrown at stake in New York and Phoenix on Tuesday, but did not seem to reach the court. An 18-year-old man was arrested and indicted after the incident in Phoenix.

He reportedly told police that he pulled prank because it had been in trent on social media. He was arrested on suspicion of assault, disorderly behavior and publicly showed explicit sexual material. There is also an ongoing investigation into the alleged incident in New York, Liberty confirmed to the Associated Press.

A man in Georgia was also arrested in connection with the first incident in Atlanta. He was indicted for disorderly behavior, criminal violation, public indecency and unseemly exposure.

The league released a statement following this arrest that threatened prosecution and a ban on any fan who engages in similar behavior.

“Security and well -being for everyone in our arenas is a highest priority for our league. Objects of any kind thrown on the field or in the field of residence may pose a security risk to players, game officials and fans,” the statement reads. “In accordance with the WNBA Arena Security Standards, any fan who intentionally throws an object on the court will immediately be pushed out and faced a minimum of one year’s ban in addition to being subject to the arrest and prosecution of local authorities.”

Players and coaches continue to speak against the disruptions.
