Los Angeles Sparks star Kelsey Plum took an iron at Caitlin Clark and her All-Star team during a press conference after a post game on Saturday night when she talked about the players’ protest.
Wnba All-Stars, including Clark, which was sidelined due to an injury, had t-shirts reading, “Pay us what you owe us.” The shot over the Bow of Wnba came in the middle of excited conversations about their new collective negotiation agreement (CBA) for 2026 and beyond.

Plum, sitting next to New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu, made a weird revelation about the decision to wear the shirts. Even Ionescu, who was on Clark’s team during the All-Star game, seemed to be surprised.
“It was a very powerful moment,” Plum said. “We didn’t do that at least as players, we didn’t know it would happen. I think it was kind of, like a real surprise. But the t-shirt, just, United Front, was determined this morning that we had a meeting for. And you don’t know for Tattlet Tale, but zero members of Team Clark were very present for it.”

Ionescu added sarcastically, “It really should be mentioned.”
“I try to make the situation light, ok? I think it was all of us just to get on the same page before the game, and we would do something that was just united and collectively, and I thought it was a very powerful moment and got the point across,” Plum continued. “And sometimes you don’t have to say anything.”
The protest was the weekend when the players criticized WNBA officials in the middle of the negotiations.
WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert said on Saturday that she thought an appointment will be made before the current CBA expires.

“I’m still really optimistic that we get something done that would be transformative,” she said. “And that, next year at All-Star, we’re talking about how amazing everything is. Obviously, there’s a lot of hard work to do on both sides to get there.”
