Woman accuses byu football star Jake Retzlaff for sexual assault in trial

A trial filed by a Utah woman accused Byu football player Jake Retzlaff for a sexual assault in his home in Novemeber 2023, Salt Lake Tribune reported.

The woman, who is listed in the filing as Jane Doe AG, says she reported her accusations to the police.

The prosecutor said she and Retzlaff originally came into contact via social media.

Retzlaff is sued for alleged battery, assault and intentional application of emotional distress. According to the trial, the woman seeks punishing damage from Byu -Quarterback.

From Wednesday, Retzlaff does not face any criminal charges. Mark Baute, Retzlaff’s lawyer, issued a statement that Byu -quarterback is “actually innocent.”

Baute also described his client as a “lovely young man.”

Retzlaff moved from California to Utah in 2023, when he transferred to Byu. He led Cougars to an 11-2 record last season.

He is Byu’s first known Jewish start -quarterback. The university is run by the church by Jesus Christ by the holy of the last days.
