A 60-year-old woman died and her three daughters were wounded during an alleged police violence during an attack in Kamoke.

The incident took place on Dera Ameer Afzal on Toliki Road, in the Saddar Kamoke police station’s jurisdiction, conducted a raid to arrest suspects involved in a dispute.

The victim’s husband, Arif, said that Asi Rao Inamullah, along with six of his colleagues, entered their homes, which were around 2 p.m.

He also claimed that the raid was unjustified as the family had already secured a preliminary bail in the related case, which was a domestic rigorous with relatives.

During the raid, 60-year-old Irshad Bibi allegedly stepped down to protect her husband, at which time Asi Rao Inam allegedly punched her in her chest, causing her to collapse. When her daughters, Zainab, Misbah and Uroooj intervened, they were also allegedly beaten and pulled by their hair. Irshad Bibi was taken to the hospital with the help of neighbors, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Following the media report, CPO RANA AYAZ SALEEEEEM ordered SSP operations Rizwan Tariq to investigate. CPO said it was found that Asi Rao Inam performed the raid without informing his sho and was originally held responsible.
