“I welcome these girls! They were put in a situation that no young athlete should ever face – to choose between their safety and their sport. I’ve been there. I am still living with the consequences of being injured by a male athlete on the field. There is a reason why the boy’s net is seven inches higher – because the game is different,” McNabb told Pakinomist Digital.
“What these girls did really go, and it’s devastating that they are the ones who pay the price of decisions made by adults.”
Two former woman’s college volleyball players who lost games for a team with a trans athlete last season also praised Riverside Poly players.

Meanwhile, the University of Nevada, Reno Women’s Volleyball players had to fight against their own school just for the right to be forfeited against SJSU later that month. The Nevada players approached university administrators privately to express their desire to lose the match and participate in four other programs that refused to play SJSU. But Nevada did not respect this request and instead released a statement Insists it would play the match.

I also want to praise his school administration for prioritizing the rights and security of their female students athletes, something I did not get available from my university when I was confronted with this situation. -Team! ” Liilii told Pakinomist Digital.
Months after the SJSU -Volleyball season ended, Hernandez was the focus of a national media four -storm in May during the athlete’s race for a California’s girls championship. The autumn season meets that Hernandez competed in, was met with protests by female athletes and their families who often had “Save Girls Sports” jerseys.
Hernandez’s race apparently pulled a response from President Donald Trump, who published a Truth Social Message the week that led to the state final advising the state not to allow a trans -athlete opportunity to compete. Trump did not refer to Hernandez directly in the position.
In response to Trump’s warning, California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) changed its policies in the days before the event to make sure any female athlete ended behind a trans athlete at the championship would be encountered in a place. This resulted in Hernandez sharing the first place on the medal podium in high -mood and triple jumps and second place podium space in long jump at the state meeting.
In July, however, the US Ministry of Justice brought a lawsuit against California Department of Education (CDE) and CIF for its policies that have enabled biological men to compete in girls’ sports throughout the state, despite Trump signing an executive order in February to ban it.
Jurupa Valley made a statement to Pakinomist Digital Friday, which addresses Riverside Poly’s forfeiture.
“We were informed that Riverside Poly High School canceled today’s scheduled girls volleyball match with Jurupa Valley High School. They did not reveal the reason. We have no further comment at this time,” the statement states.
Jurupa Valley’s Next Girls’ Volleyball Game is set to August 25 against Rim of the World High School.
