The National Assembly’s Standing Committee for Communication has been informed that Quetta-Zhob Road, including Zhob Bypass, is included in this year’s PSDP. However, due to limited funds, Loralai city pass will be considered for admission to the next PSDP in response to the committee’s previous recommendations. The committee, which met under the presidency of MNA Aijaz Hussain, took up that dear attention message raised by MNA Syed Waseem Hussain and other members. The committee repeated public concerns about high tolls charged on several points in Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway (M-9), emphasizing the need for fair toll and transparent revenue collection. As the parliamentary secretary of communication was not available to participate, the ministry was asked to submit its response to the next meeting. In addition, the committee asked a detailed report from the National Highway Authority (NHA) on the upcoming session. The committee was informed of progress with the SUKKUR HYDEABAD motorway (M-6). The Ministry informed the committee that the project would be funded through the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) after approving the project proposal from the P3A Board and the revised PC-1 of ECNEC.
Work with M-6 to start with Mar 2026
