World Aquatics Championships 2025: Jack Alexy Tops US Record in 100 m Freestyle

American Jack Alexy made waves in the pool at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore Wednesday.

Alexy blew past Caeleb Dressel’s national record in 100-yard freestyle in the second semi-final heat.

He knocked on the wall with a time of 46.81 and served him the top location in the final. Dressel ended in 46.96 at the World Cup in 2019 to set the record earlier.

Alexy won a gold medal at Paris -ol in 2024. He was part of the 4×100 freestyle team. He and the United States also served a silver medal in the 4×100 medley.

The World Cup ‘100 Freestyle final is scheduled for Thursday.
