According to sources, the World Bank’s delegation, which consists of 9 directors, has already met with the Prime Minister and other senior officials.

The delegation is scheduled to meet with Pakistan’s Finance Minister, Minister of Economic Affairs, Minister of Planning and Minister of Energy, where discussions will focus on effective implementation of $ 40 billion in funding.

This marks the first visit to Pakistan of the World Bank’s executive directors in 20 years, and they will discuss strategies for the successful implementation of the country’s partnership framework.

According to Express News, the delegation will also visit provinces to review development efforts and formulate strategies.

During their visit, the World Bank Delegation Tarbela lake and the power plant tour to undergo the expansion work. In addition, the delegation will also visit Taxila.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude for the $ 40 billion investment in Pakistan under the World Bank and called it a welcome development.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office press wing, the prime minister met with a delegation of the World Bank’s directors, welcoming their visit to Pakistan.

He highlighted the long -standing partnership between the World Bank and Pakistan, which spans seven decades. Many significant projects supported by the World Bank have played a key role in the country’s development.

The Prime Minister stated that Pakistan has benefited from his partnership with the World Bank, especially during the floods 2022, when the World Bank provided considerable assistance to those affected.

According to the recent framework for the country’s partnership, the World Bank is set to invest $ 40 billion in Pakistan, which is a positive development.
