Oba Femi showed off his brute strength as he retained the NXT championship against Je’von Evans at Heatwave on Sunday night.
Femi has been one of the most dominant superstars since joining the WWE NXT program list. He has been the NXT champion since he defeated Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe in a triple-threat match at New Year’s evil back on January 7th. Since then he has beaten every wrestler that stepped up to him.

But Evans turned out to be a more unique challenger considering his agility and acrobatics. He showed them when he delivered a cutter from what could have been a harmful sludge. Evans thought he had won the fight, but an NXT judge dismissed someone else’s three counting and claimed that Femi was able to break down the Count.
Femi finished playing with Evans – and it showed. He picked up his opponent and threw him from the ring through the advertising table. The audience in Lowell, Massachusetts, went wild for the place. He put Evans back in the ring, hit his finishing and attached Evans to the victory.
After the dust sat down, Ricky Saints appeared in the ring. Saints stepped up to Femi as if to say he was his next challenger.
