Drew McIntyre will return to WWE on Saturday evening’s main event when he quarters against Randy Orton more than a month after losing against Damian Priest in a steel cube.
McIntyre showed his face last week as he interrupted a segment between Orton and Cody Rhodes.
Unfortunately to tell it as it is, McIntyre speculated “what happened” with Orton when the so-called “legend murderer” apparently lost the psychological war against Rhodes before losing the fight against him that would have given him a shot at the undisputed WWE championship against John Cena in SummerSlam.

Orton got the last word that night, but it set a fight between the two superstars at Saturday evening’s main event.
“I assume we find out,” McIntyre told Pakinomist Digital when asked if Orton may have lost his murderous instinct. “He finally dropped me with rko after I ran my mouth for eight equal minutes. But I’m honest. I’m always honest. I’m not the evil guy. You know, ‘heel,’ that everyone likes to say. I just tell the truth and that makes you the evil guy day of age.
“I said Cody has been lubricating him for months, talking about how big friends they are, how much he respects him, getting Randy’s guard down that brought into (the Night of Champions) match and the split second Randy Finely -tuned his back, his surgically repaired back, his back, which he would never return from.
“What did cody? ‘My good friend, oh my goodness are you ok? I’ll do this the right way.’ No!
McIntyre said “Prodding” Orton was part of the plan to have a fight with him. He compared himself to John Cena and said he would not sell his soul and take the “cheap” route to get a title shot.

When it came to whom he wants to meet the title, he pointed directly to Rhodes and made it clear that he would not go up against this version of Cena.

“Cena and Cody on SummerSlam. … I already said it. I don’t want this John Cena. This John Cena is a bit B —-,” he said. “We’ve never had a match one-on-one ever. That would be a huge match. I don’t want this cena.
“I want to send him pack as he used to be – hustle, loyalty and respect, do things the right way. These cheap finishes leave all the arena, ‘the freaking sucked, it was a waste of money.’ I want the actual John Cena.
McIntyre compared his career with Rhodes’ and believes that their potential matchup would be one that everyone would see.
“And as I told Cody, parallel careers for 20 years. We were both handed over a crappy hand back in the day character. We both had to leave the business to find ourselves, come back, get us to the place we are now. I used to be where he was in his thinking where he is now.

“Parallel careers, different destinations. The story becomes incredible, the fight will be incredible. But I want to be the one to tear the title out of Cody’s hands and see the appearance in his face and know, ‘Oh crap this is not the same Drew, and I was afraid of the old Drew. This is a developed Drew, I can not jeopardize because he is better than me.’
