Last time WWE Evolution took place, Raquel Rodriguez is still training at the Performance Center in the hope of being able to enter the ring with the superstars today and tomorrow.

On Sunday, she gets a chance to defend her tag-team championship with Roxanne Perez in one of the toughest matches on the map. The duo puts the titles on the line in a deadly four-way roof match against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, Sol Ruca and Zaria and Kairi Sane and Asuka.

Rodriguez expressed to Pakinomist Digital what the development meant to her the first time she saw that Premium Live event takes place back in 2018.

“This is a very exciting time for all women in WWE, all the women who are just invested in fighting around the world,” she said. “We only had one development and I remember it was back in 2018 that I train in the Performance Center, I bite my nails because I just wanted to be part of it so bad. But it was a beautiful representation of women in wrestling, women in sports and women in culture from just all over the world.

“So to know that we are able to have a women’s development 2 and have more women from our history and our future who come out to represent, I think it will be an absolutely fantastic show. I can’t wait to see all women, little girls and abuelitas and tias who are in the stands, cheering on. Take.

For Rodriguez, Pro Wrestling was in her blood. Her father, Rick, was an independent wrestler in Texas in the 1980s and 1990s, and she wanted to see him compete.

She said that although Chyna and other female wrestlers from that time were inspiring, her interest in wrestling was really drawn from her father.

“There was not just someone I looked up to and would imitate, I mean, I looked up to many. Of course, I loved Chyna and Beth Phoenix to be the woman they were and represented a strong, tall woman,” Rodriguez said. “I think for me and my life, I mean, I was already 6 feet my first year in high school, and I was taller than anyone and everyone since the young age of 4. I was constantly different and not always in the best ways. And then seeing these women who were bigger than some of the men and stronger than some of the men was something I could relate too.

“I also always look at my dad too. I’m a dad’s girl, and I say it in and out, he has really led me in a lot of decisions I’ve made in my life and I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him, for sure, and the victims he made. See him and his work to fight for me, of course, he has it with a young age, because I said I would do this, Today, he has me a lot of reason.

Rodriguez is a six-time woman’s roofing champion, four of whom came with Liv Morgan. However, Morgan has been sidelined with a shoulder injury, and Perez entered his place to fill – at least so far.

Rodriguez said she has all confidence in the world that they will defend their titles successfully despite never actually joining each other in an official match.

“It will certainly be a challenge for us,” Rodriguez told Pakinomist Digital. “But I look at the other teams, and alexa bliss and charlotte haven’t really been trainer for that long. So, I would say they are in the same playing field as us. Asuka and kairi – yes, kabuki warriors have a staple name in the women’s tag division. They have been champions before. However, Asuka is just coming back from injury, and they haven’t really done much tag work ether sine she has been back so in think she is in the same boat.

“Så har vi Zaria og Sol, og jeg har set, hvad de har gjort på NXT, og jeg synes, de laver helt enormt arbejde. Begge meget, meget talentfulde kvinder, begge synes at være en meget god forbindelse, når det kommer til kvinders tag -wrestling, men Sol har slags gjort hendes egen ting, og det har jeg i det samme at sige, at jeg vil sige, at vores tag er for at være for at være for at være bekymrede for deres forbindelse, og deres teamwork. Jeg har Want they are kind of the same to play.
