Trading Platform Etoro (ETOR) has expanded its crypto offers in the US and added 12 new digital assets including Dogecoin
Cardano and XRP, the company said Wednesday.
The additions bring the total number of cryptocurrencies available to US users to 15. The new tokens also include Aave
Chainlink, Compound, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin, Uniswap, Stellar, Shiba Inu and Lengting Finance. In the past, US-based users could only trade Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum on the platform.
The move is part of Etoro’s push to expand its footprint in the US market and to meet retail needs and match offers from major players such as Coinbase (Coin) and Robinhood (Hood).
The announcement comes just weeks after Etoro debuted at Nasdaq and marked the first US crypto company, published after months of merchant tensions and shaking markets. Stablecoin Essuer Circle, who has long been planning to be published, submitted its original public offer on Tuesday.
Despite the turbulent macro background, Etoro’s IPO was well received. The company raised around $ 310 million, surpassed expectations and signaled the investor interest in the combined stock and crypto trading platform model.
Shares are modestly lower Wednesday of $ 64.15, but remain neatly over the stock exchange price of $ 52.
