Just because New York Yankees allows their players to rock beard for the first time in almost 50 years, it doesn’t mean everyone will.
Captain Aaron Judge told journalists on Saturday that despite the policy getting a makeover, he replied “no” when asked if he would cultivate any facial hair.
“I was prepared by this organization, so the very first day I was here I have shaved since 2013,” Judge said. “This is what I know that’s what I’m used to. I’m looking around the building, looking at old photos of the previous legends and people playing here, they all followed this rule, so I just tried to follow their path.”

However, he is all for the change and repeating the same feelings that team owner Hal Steinbrenner did – Steinbrenner, who lifted the rule that his father, George, implemented in 1976, suggested that he was afraid that the players would not come to Yankees in the future because of the rule.
