Cam Schlittler grew up a Boston Red Sox fan, but spent Thursday night breaking their hearts.
Now New York Yankees’ latest post -season hero, Schlittler became the first player in the MLB story to record Eight Scoreless Innings and turns out 12 without allowing a trip during the post season, which helped send the Bronx bomb to the American League Division series and eliminating Red Sox.
It was pure dominance from pitch to pitch 107, but the rookie high-handed was apparently pitching with a fire lit under him thanks to Fenway faithful.

“I don’t get into it, but there’s a line and I think they crossed it a little,” Schlittler said of Red Sox fans. “I’m a competitor and I’ll go out there and make sure I shut them down.”
It is unclear what Schlittler was referring to, but social media Sleuths noted that Schlittler’s mother made her X account privately after potentially being harassed online by Red Sox fans.
“You know Boston fans, that’s how it is. We’re aggressive at home and we’ll try to get under people’s skin. They just chose the wrong guy to do it and the wrong team to do it for,” Schlittler said.

Maybe some were added juice that Yankees drafted Schlittler only one choice after Sox chose not in 2022.
After the game, Schlittler went to X to Troll Sox. Lucy Burdge, a Draftkings -correspondent, published a photo of himself in a Red Sox shirt and wrote it, “Sox in 3.” Schlittler replied, “Not this year.”
Before that, Schlittler also published “Drinking Dat Dirty Water”, a play on the song playing at Fenway Park after the SOX victory.
Thursday was just the 15th MLB start for Schlittler, who was called up on July 9th. Schlittler dominated with his fastball when 73 of his seats were over 97 km / h.

Schlittler now shows that pitches if necessary, play 4 of the ALDS against Toronto Blue Jays back in Bronx on Wednesday.
