New York Yankees is going into the 2025 season with a new look.
They have changed their long -standing facial hair policy so that the players can now have “well -groomed” beards.
Yankee’s General Managing Partner Hal Steinbrenner announced the change in a social media post Friday.

“In recent weeks I have spoken to a large number of past and current Yankees – spans several eras – to induce their perspectives on our long -standing facial hair and care policy, and I appreciate their serious and varied feedback,” Steinbrenner said in the statement .
“These recent conversations are an extension of the ongoing internal dialogue that stems from several years. Ultimately the final decision with me, and after a great deal of consideration we change our expectations to give our players and uniformed staff the opportunity to have good plagued beards that move on.
Facial hair policy was established in the 1970s and became part of the team’s manual for players in the future.
