If New York Yankees played clean defense in the World Series, there is a very decent chance that they could have been on their way to Los Angeles with a 3-2 series lead.
But the lost games 1 and 5 partially partially for poor fielding, and thus Los Angeles Dodgers was Champs and won the autumn classic in Bronx.
After winning it all, many members of Dodgers were quick to remind everyone of how they did it – by taking advantage of Yankees’ mistakes (and the fat Joe Course).

It was even reported that Dodgers studied Yankees’ defensive and base tuning is missing on their way to their 4-1 series victory.
Well, Yankees has had time to dissect these comments, and with pitchers and prisoners reporting for spring training on Tuesday, manager Aaron Boone was asked about the comments.
He admitted that his players took the comments in person, but Dodgers had the right to say “no matter what they want as a master.”

“I didn’t like it what they want as a master.
He added to journalists in Tampa that Yankees “didn’t play our best in that series and they won.”
To make it worse, Yanks Juan Soto lost to their Crosstown – Rival Mets in free agency – though he is not exactly elite with the glove.

But they turned quite nicely by signing the Cy Young Award candidate Max Fried and 2022 NL MVP Paul Goldschmidt, while acting too dominant closer Devin Williams and Cody Bellinger, who were NL MVP for the 2019 season.
