- Hostings launched web2 agent to make sites compatible with AI agents
- The tool enables structured, machine -readable content without changing site design
- Web2 Agent is free, optional and respects privacy standards like Robots.txt and llms.txt
Hostings, one of the best site building platforms, are preparing for a world where the Internet is primarily designed for AI agents. To this end, it just introduced a new tool called Web2 Agent aimed at getting your site to AI-ready as easy as clicking on a button.
For those who do not know the term, an AI Agent software that can perceive its environment is making decisions and taking actions to achieve specific goals. Think – virtual assistants, recommendation engines or autonomous robots.
Hostings, also well known as one of the best web hosting platforms, have recognized a future where sites are seen more by AI agents who collect information for people than people themselves. Therefore, websites need to adapt, making it easier for these AI agents to collect and understand the information they need.
“Your next visitors may not be human – it may be an AI agent. These agents don’t care about design or layout. They need structured, machine -readable data they can navigate, understand and act on. If your site can’t give it, you will be left behind,” like Tomas Rasymas, head of AI at Hostings, explained.
Introduction of web2 agent
Hostings want to help facilitate this change through a service called web2 agent, described as a “one-click service that makes our client sites AI clear”. The tool makes sites fully AI-compatible agents that can be detected, understood and access to AI tools. Any updates to the site, such as new articles or structural changes, are automatically tracked and synchronized, and as everything happens in the background, the design remains untouched.
Web2 agent is also said to keep privacy and respect industrial standards such as Robots.txt and Llms.txt, keep site owners in full control. Participation is apparently completely optional and the tool can be switched off at any time without influence on the visible content of the site.
The tool is free for hostings clients using WordPress and Hostings Website Builder.
WordPress users can sign up by navigating to their WP administrator panel and visiting hostings -tools. There they need to find the LLM optimization section and activate the web2 agent feature. User Builder users can sign up by editing their site, selecting ‘more’ from the side panel, selecting ‘General Settings’ and finally turning on web2 agent.

Although AI agents are unlikely to be the primary source of traffic to your site right now, there is a clear trend that shows that this may be more common in the coming years.
According to Hostings, Chatgpt.com in August this year withdrew 5.8 billion visits, Google’s AI listings now reach 1.5 billion monthly users and the largest AI bots crawl 85% of sites every day.
These AI tools already influence how many people visit your site with some studies suggesting that click frequencies may fall by up to 50%when AI answers appear on the page.
But sites are far from outdated. People still need the information your site has, they have just begun to access them in a different way.
This new Hostings tool makes it easy for site owners to make their sites AI-friendly. Of course, the use of web2 agent does not guarantee that your content appears in AI results – but it is likely to increase its chances – and personally I can’t think of a single disadvantage of turning on this feature.
