- Google’s new Mixboard offers AI-driven visualization and image rendering
- Users can create and edit idea boards using text prompts
- Mixboard is available as an experimental beta in the US
Google’s popular new Gemini 2.5 Flash Image Model, better known as Nano Banana, has a new home in Adobe Photoshop. Those with access to Photoshop’s Beta app can produce images with Nano Banana, best known for manufacturing viral 3D figures from photographs, directly within the generative filling tool along with Adobe’s own Firefly model.
Nano Banana joins the platform along with a new contextual model from Black Forest Labs, the developers of the AI image manufacturer used by hook on x, called Flux.1 Kontext [pro].
It is a remarkable expansion of Adobe’s AI strategy that has been largely dependent on Adobe-built models so far. But now Photoshop users can generate a dreamy, stylized background using Nano -Banan, refine it with realistic shadows via Flux.1 and polish it all using Firefly, all within the generative filling function. Adobe seems to have that Photoshop should act as a hub for multiple AI models to compete for your creative attention.
Adobe is still calling on users to consider the Firefly model as Go-to for commercial-secure results. Firefly is built for higher -end images in terms of quality, consistency and dependence on a database that Adobe is authorized to use for training its models.
Nano -Banan and Flux, of course, have their own strengths. Google’s contribution is known for its stylistic blooms and eye -catching visuals, which are based on text, while Black Forest Labs throws its model as ideal for more realistic and coherent images.
Now that they can be exchanged inside the same fast window, users will be able to test these strengths very quickly. For example, if you have an idea for a fantasy history illustration, Nano Banana could add some magical effects, while Flux realistic turns on a hollow setting and Firefly cleans it all up.
AI Image Imagination
Adobe, which opens up to third -party providers, is likely to help the company as it struggles to keep Photoshop on top of the list of advanced visual platforms. Making it easy to switch between the models will streamline a lot of projects, both professional and personal. To speed up the sometimes boring process of editing images will appeal to lots of creators.
For example, a designer who manufactures social content can generate stylized backgrounds in seconds and fine -tune them without switching between tabs. An inventor could run entire product photos and marketing campaign completely within Photoshop, and even someone who makes a funny greeting card image will find the process much easier.
You still need taste and direction. However, the burden of preparation and editing can be significantly easier. To try mixing Photoshop and Nano Banana, select Photoshop Beta via Creative Cloud. Adobe says more improvements come when they optimize the back-end systems and introduce finer controls over each model’s output.
