Karachi:
In what appears to be a case of honor killing, a young woman and man was found shot dead along Karachi’s remote coastline on Monday. They were killed in execution style with a single ball to the head – Point Blank Range.
The victims, identified as Sana Muhammad Asif and Sajid Masih – both between the ages of 25 and 30 – came from the same village, Dakkhana Lala Pul Abdullahpur, in the Nausheran Virkan area of the Gujranwala division of Punjab.
According to the SSP South Mahzoor Ali, the bodies were discovered in a deserted area near China’s port of the boat pool’s locality. The victims were shot in the head close by unknown attacks, he said. The crime scene provided two used 9 mm gun shells, which have been secured by police as evidence.
Personal belongings recovered from the stage included a mobile phone, some cash and photographs in passport size, which are believed to be of the victims. SSP Ali said the victims were probably brought to the place and executed during the night or in the early hours of the morning.
The bodies were moved to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for Post-Mortem studies to confirm identity and collect additional forensic evidence.
Senior Police and Rangers officials, including DSP Clifton Manshiya Rupita and DSP Darakhshan Imran Jakirani, rushed to the stage after the incident. A criminal scene -Unit was also called to help with proof of evidence.
Police have launched a full -scale investigation of the double murder that explores various motives, including personal animosity, honor -based violence or other possible factors. So far, no arrests have been made and the subject remains unclear.
