If you need something to binge this week, Sirens has arrived and it is definitely worth a place on our best Netflix show rounds up.
The dark comedy drama that arrived today (May 22) has already at the time of this article’s publication-a 86% critical score on the rat Tomatoes. Obviously, lots of professional writers have gone well.
Look at
For the uninitiated: Sirens is according to Netflix’s own Tudum-Fan-led site, a “sharp, sexy and dark fun exploration of women, power and class”.
The show’s story is told over a very explosive weekend, watching Meghan Fahy playing Devon, the worried older sibling of Milly Alcock’s Simone, who has a very creepy relationship with her new boss Michaela (Julianne Moore). Clearly concerned about his younger sister, Devon leads to Michaela’s land retreat in order to hold an intervention for Simone.
Why do I recommend sirens on Netflix
There are lots of good reasons why I recommend Sirens This week. With only five episodes, you can easily overlook it in one or two meetings.
Molly Smith Metzler, the playwright behind that very joy GirlAs contributed Margaret Qualley, this Netflix created show that is based on Metzler’s own 2011 game Elemano PEone. So you know this series is in good hands
Smith Metzler said to Tudum: “This story has a lot of teeth. There are real moments of drama and that will make people uncomfortable. Operatic is a word I like to use to describe it. It’s a real dark comedy – and it has a Greek mythologist. “
The role crew is also excellent. Next to Moore, Fahy and Alcock, like the beloved actor Kevin Bacon. Given Prime Video Canceled BondmanIt’s great to see bacon appear in another project, though I’m still very disappointed to watch one of the best prime video shows suddenly come to a sudden end. It’s always sunny in PhiladelphiaGlenn Howerton also plays a supportive role, so you really can’t get much more star -studded than that.
If you loved Netflix’s The four seasonsThis is also another picturesque series to gape on. Expect big scenes on site, glamorous wardrobes and lots of luxury. It is also full of mystery’s edge and has an eerie undertone, as everything is not as it seems on this island ablave.
I was sucked in from Get-Go and soon realized that I had streamed three episodes back to back. You find yourself desperate to know what’s going on and what happens to Moore’s rich philanthropist and animal activist.
I’m eager to see more from SirensBut we will have to see if Netflix decides to renew it.
