- YouTube has begun to mark members of premium family plans that do not live in the same household as account manager

- YouTube’s bank breakdown of the account participates in a wide range of streaming services that have taken similar measures and subscribers are not satisfied with
Since Netflix’s controversial breakdown on the division of passwords, all the best streaming services have followed in some way, and now YouTube ends them by marking certain Premium family plan members.
Similar to location-based crashes that detect password sharing, YouTube has begun to target members of its premium family plan, which does not live in the same household as the account manager, which was first reported by the Android police.
A YouTube Premium Family Subscription costs $ 22.99/ £ 19.99/ AU $ 22.99 a month, which lets you and up to five family members enjoy benefits such as ad-free viewing and YouTube music. Members have always been required to live in the same household as account manager, but YouTube has not been strict with it until now – despite having completed electronic control every 30 days.
Official warnings
Several users have received e emails from YouTube and say it has discovered that they are using Premium family at a place other than the account administrator. The email says “Your YouTube-Premium family membership will be paused” and warn users that they are losing premium access after 14 days, after which they only have access to AD-supported content.
This has raised many questions about the name of the plan, which frustrated users say they need to be changed to ‘household plan’ to adapt to the official statement in YouTube’s terms and conditions: “All family members must be 13 years or older, have a Google account and stay in the same household as family manager”.
Although the crash has not reached all the Premium Family members yet, and it is unclear which countries it is happening in, there have been enough reports to suggest that YouTube is just up and running. If you are one of the lucky ones who have not yet received a warning from YouTube, take this as your tip to make the most of the time you may have left.
