Zendaya will be forever grateful Spider-Man franchise to introduce her to her “love” and “best friend”, Tom Holland.
During a performance at The Drew Barrymore Show Monday 6 April at Euphoria star took a trip down memory lane to his past projects, including Disney’s Shake it Up, The Greatest Showmanand of course Spider-Man: Homecoming.
“You get to think about a lot,” Zendaya said with a laugh as a photo of her in Spider-Man’s arms appeared on the screen.
The drama the actress noted how “crazy” it is to be a part of the franchise she grew up watching. “Being a part of them, and the joy it brings to people…” Zendaya said before reflecting on what it brought to her own life.
“It brought love and my best friend into my life,” she gushed as she stole another glance at the photo from their early days.
Zendaya, 29, and Holland, also 29, famously met while filming the 2017 Marvel hit. After years of romance rumors, the couple confirmed their relationship in 2020. They got engaged in late 2024 and were rumored to have secretly married earlier this year.
Although the couple chose not to confirm or deny the rumors for the sake of their privacy, fans will get to see them share the screen again when Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters on July 31.
“I’m excited for you to see the next one,” Zendaya told Barrymore. “I’m already so proud of the work and I’m so proud of Tom. The next one — I’m blown away,”
