The central Ruet-E-Hilal Committee has announced that Zil Hajj Moon was not seen in the country, confirming that the first day of Zil Hajj will be observed on May 29, while Eidul Azha will be celebrated on June 7.
The message was made by Ruet-E-Hilal Committee President Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, who chaired a meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday.
By tackling a press conference, President Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad said that no credible testimony of moonlight had been received from any part of the country.

“It was decided with agreement that the first day of Zil Hajj will be on May 29, Thursday, and Eidul Azha will be observed on June 7 Saturday,” he said.
He also emphasized that weather conditions across the country had hampered moon uptake, with cloudy sky that prevailed in most areas.
The meeting attended members of the Central Ruet-E-Hilal Committee together with representatives from Suparco and the meteorological department present to provide assistance.
In addition to the central meeting, Zonal Committee meetings were also held in cities such as Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar and other regions.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia confirmed on Friday, June 6, when the first day of Eidul Azha, after Zil Hajj Crescent was watched Tuesday with Hajj, which was to take place on Thursday, June 5.
Moon Sighting Committee throughout the Arab world and other Muslim majority countries observed the crescent in Zil Hajj-Ern 12th and last month in the Islamic Moon Calendar, on Tuesday, May 27.
The kingdom announced that Zil Hajj Crescent had been seen, confirming that next Friday, June 6 will mark the first day of Eidul Azha. The United Arab Emirates also announced the Moon’s observation and declared that Eidul Zdha will be observed on Friday, June 6.
