Zoe Saldaña gets honest about new movie ‘Elio’

Zoe Saldaña is a mother-of-three and her upcoming film Elio, a movie about Children have made her excited.

Explaining her feelings on Good morning America, She said, “Since I became a parent and incorporated what I do – my art – in a genre that caters to children has always been a great interest in me. And I get to relate to them, and I also get some crazy cool points as a mother.”

While promoting, Zoe also said the audience will relate to the film’s content. “They immediately bought into the story. I think everyone can relate to the themes that Elio talks about: About feeling like a stranger in your own skin, and feels like you don’t belong.”

She continued, “but long to be part of a community that accepts you and sees you for who you are. My boys certainly liked it.”

Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi and Adrian Molina served as directors, and Mary Alice Drumm produced the film.

The log line in the film reads, “An 11-year-old boy named Elio Solis, a room fanatic, is beamed up to the municipality, an interplanetary organization and mistakenly identified as the representative of the earth.”

“Elio must then navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions, form new bonds with eccentric foreign life forms and ultimately discover who he really is.”

Zoe’s Elio Arriving at cinemas on June 20th.
