- iOS 26 Public Beta 3 enhances apps opening hours
- This makes the use of apps feel much faster and snappers
- However, the adjustment gets apps’ content to load faster
The third public beta of Apple’s iOS 26 has just landed and it comes with a few minor adjustments and adjustments to your iPhone. But there is a change that has really caught my eye and it has made my iPhone feel so much faster in the process.
Once you’ve downloaded iOS 26 Public Beta 3, you’ll probably notice the change almost instantly: Now the opening and closing of apps feels very snappers than before, with apps that are jumping to life on your screen as soon as you press them. Instead of waiting for them to fill your screen, they are almost immediate. The video further down on this page shows the speed of action.
In objective terms, there is probably only a minor difference in the Appeals and Closing Times Between iOS 18 and the third beta of iOS 26 – maybe just a few milliseconds. Still, you absolutely notice the change. I love how fast it feels like I can dive into my apps without waiting for the animation to end in iOS 26.
In times when I need to get started quickly-as to open my camera app to capture a one-time moment, for example, the new animation is a real blessing. But these times are relatively rare and I have found that the biggest advantage is simply the feeling of increased snappiness I now get with my iPhone. It’s a small change, but a meaningful one.
The slight disadvantage

That said, it is worth noting that you may not feel the benefits of all times. This is because the change affects how fast an app’s container is loaded and filling your screen, but it doesn’t actually get the app’s content loading faster.
So if an app is poorly optimized or takes a long time to show some content on screen, the latest iOS 26 public beta probably won’t feel it faster. This means that the improvements can vary, depending on which apps you use the most.
Still, if your apps are well made and load their internal work quickly, you will really start to feel the improvement when iOS 26 lands correctly next month.
Updates like this show that small adjustments can sometimes make more of a difference than new features or big, flashy changes. This is certainly the case here, and the quick app loading animations may be one of my favorite adjustments found in iOS 26 so far.
